AUTOMATIC POSITIVE PRESSURE COMPRESSED AIRLINE AND FILTER RESPIRATOR SYSTEM

The RAS has all the features of the CENTAIR with bandolier harness plus the facility to mount a filter canister with DIN 40 thread to the facemask. RAS is worn as a positive pressure compressed airline breathing apparatus and can, by resetting the demand valve and disconnecting the airline supply hose, be worn as a full facemask filter respirator fort short periods to facilitate egress or movement around the workplace.

An integral non-return valve within the airline coupling prevents contamination of the supply hose whilst disconnected.  RAS is designed for factory process work in hazardous atmospheres with multiple operatives - -  in particular for the nuclear industry or for isocyanate paint spraying. where isolating or containing the hazardous atmosphere can be problematic.  Wearing RAS, operators have the freedom to move around the site from supply hose to supply hose, or to evacuate whilst maintaining optimum respiratory protection.

The CENTAIR features a PanaSeal positive pressure facemask, a compact positive pressure demand valve with first breath activation and hands-free bypass facility, allowing the wearer to manually activate a cooling flow of air. Available with a choice of full or bandolier shoulder straps respectively. Both are fully adjustable to the wearer’s needs.

FLITE combines all the features of Centair with the additional provision of hip-mounted reserve air supply for emergency escape and egress procedures. The airline coupling includes an integral non-return valve allowing disconnection from the airline supply hose without any loss of air. The cylinder has a compact, combined cylinder valve with pressure indicator and DIN charging adapter.

A quick-release  coupling permits the apparatus to be worn with or without cylinder and to facilitate the replacement of cylinders requiring recharge. Version of FLITE are available with standard steel or super light compost cylinder. Fitted with the latter, FLITE weighs under 5 kilos.  FLITE is designed for applications where the working situation may require escape form an irrespirable atmosphere by routs other than those used for entry - in particular, confined spaces. FLITE is also an ideal solution for the protection of production workers form H2S involved in oil and gas exploration, where the leg-mounted cylinder does not impede the wearing of life jackets.
